The Southwood Condos by Streetcar Developments is a new mixed-use condominium development currently in pre-construction at 633 Kingston Road in Toronto, Ontario. Prices for available units start from the $300,000's. There are 45 units in total. Occupancy is Spring 2017.
Streetcar Developments was founded in July of 2002 by Les Mallins, Founder and President after a conversation he had with his neighbour on the front porch about new development projects. During the years, this firm has built outstanding lofts in sought after areas of Toronto and mid-rise projects of contemporary design as well. Today, Streetcar are known for building projects in neighbourhoods that are rich in culture and in areas of downtown Toronto where there's easy access to all amenities. Basically, locations where people want to invest and live in. Streetcar for more than a decade has been successful in building mid-rise developments in parts of Toronto while working close with the new communities and the City of Toronto. Some of their projects include: Riverside Square, The Carlaw, 8 Gladstone and the Edge Lofts.

Tact Architecture Inc. headed by Principal Prishram Jain will be the architectural firm responsible for the design of The Southwood Condos project. Not only are they an architectural firm but they are also a full service interior design firm headed by principal Michael Krus and in 2009 both decided to form Tact Development. This mid-sized firm won the coveted OAA Best Emerging Practice of 2012 Award.
Streetcar Developments together with Tact Architecture Inc. and landscape architecture Corban and Goode will collaborate and join forces to bring The Southwood Condos to rise on 633 Kingston Road.
Coming to the Beaches neighbourhood of Toronto will be a new mid-rise condo development on Kingston Road and Southwood Drive known as The Southwood Condos by developer Streetcar Developments.
This is a proposed 6 storey condominium with a total of 56 residential units made up of 4 studio units, 47 1-bedroom units and 5 2-bedroom units. This 6 storey tower will be about 24.95 metres in height.
There will be access to 53 vehicle parking spots located underground with 45 spaces for residents and 8 spaces for visitors. There will also be 50 bicycle parking spots with 6 visitor spaces at grade level.
The total residential area is about 4188 square metres and 577 square metres will be for retail/commercial use space. The indoor amenity area will be about 112 square metres in size.
The lobby entrance will be on the Kingston Road side. Residential unit sizes start around 467 square feet to over 900 square feet.
Price for available units start in the $300,000's.
